What is a digital invitation card?

A digital invitation card — an eKad, or kad kahwin digital in Malay — is a web-based invitation you share as a link instead of printing and posting paper cards. Guests open it on any phone, see your event details, RSVP, and send gifts, all from the single link you send on WhatsApp.

How does a digital invitation card work?

  1. 1You pick a design and fill in your event details — names, date, time, and venue.
  2. 2You publish the card, which gives you one shareable link (and a QR code).
  3. 3You send that link on WhatsApp; guests open it on any phone, no app required.
  4. 4Guests RSVP and leave wishes on the card, and you track every response in your dashboard.

What can a digital invitation card include?

  • Event details for one or more sessions (e.g. Akad and Resepsi)
  • Live RSVP with attendance tracking and a CSV export
  • A digital guestbook for guests' wishes
  • DuitNow QR and e-wallet gifting, plus a wishlist
  • Maps, itinerary, background music, and a photo gallery
  • A bilingual Bahasa Melayu / English toggle

Is an eKad the same as a PDF or an image?

No. A PDF or a JPG is a flat picture — guests can't RSVP, leave wishes, or send a gift from it, and you can't update it after sending. A digital invitation card is an interactive web page: it's live, editable after you share it, and it collects RSVPs and gifts for you.

Do guests need an app to open it?

No. The card opens in any phone's browser straight from the WhatsApp link. There is nothing for your guests to download, sign up for, or install.

How much does a digital invitation card cost in Malaysia?

With EkadInvite it's a one-time payment — Gold is RM29 and Diamond is RM69 — with no subscription and no monthly fees. The card never expires, so the link stays live long after the event.
